Overview:
Roland R. Cross is a partner at the Springfield, Illinois, law firm, Brown, Hay & Stephens, LLP. He has degrees from
Denison University (B.A. 1987), University of Missouri-Columbia (M.A. 1989; Ph.D. 1998), and St. Louis University
School of Law (J.D. 2001). He concentrates his law practice in the areas of education law, employment law, labor
law, juvenile, and family law. He is also an experienced mediator.
He is the Past Chair and a current member of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Education Law Section Council and
a member of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission.
