    Manager, Organizational Development 

    Blessing Health System

    This position is responsible for the oversight and management of the Organizational Development Department at Blessing Health System. This position will assure that educational, leadership, and functional development programs and services are delivered with quality and in a safe and effective manner.

    This position is responsible for: insuring the developmental needs of leadership and the various employee populations are meet, as well as assisting in meeting needs of volunteers and other system customers as needed. Processes used include needs assessments, program design, content approval, evaluation and resource allocation. This position ensures the processes are in place to provide appropriate continuing education credits for professional groups including the medical staff. This position provides input into the development of the organization's strategic plan as well as responsibility for the interpretation and implementation of the strategic plan within those reporting units. This position guides and/or oversees the establishment of processes to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and organizational standards. This position is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and developing long range plans to new programs/projects within scope of responsibility. This position requires the ability to build constructive internal and external working relationships and must be an active advocate of Blessing Health System in the community.

    This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.

    Job Duties:

    This position will manage the day to day operations of the Organizational Development Team. This position will oversee the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating outcomes for leadership and functional development programs throughout BHS while utilizing retention best practices.

    Provide leadership and oversight of organizational development
    at BHS by overseeing the development and deployment of programs in the areas of orientation, compliance and regulatory training, as well as functional and leadership development

    Deploy learning programs through the processes of assessment, program design, content approval, evaluation and resource allocation
    Interprets and implements operational plans, projects, programs and standards in support of organizational goals

    Design programs to advance the culture of leadership behaviors aligned with organizational values

    Participates in educational activities and professional development to ensure personal growth and the advancement of workforce and operational performance

    Ensure continuing education credit processes meet standards and are available to the BHS workforce.

    Supports Blessing Hospital administrative/ organizational departmental policies and procedures as evidenced by: monitoring compliance of the policies/procedures

    Monitors and administers department budget as evidenced by: formal review with leadership team of monthly variance reports and mitigation plans to meet budget requirements

    Establishes processes/procedures to insure delivery of quality-based services and demonstrates responsible stewardship as evidenced by documented budget variances

    Demonstrate passion, innovation, and ability to solve complex problems in the areas of Talent, Culture, and Organizational Development

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development - Training, or related subject (Master’s Degree Preferred)

    Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in organizational/ leadership development or relative management experience

    Track record in designing and executing successful training and development programs

    Passionate about leadership development, innovative in approach to learning, and ability to solve complex problems

    Exceptional organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal, etc.)

    Ability to multitask and work in an autonomous environment with limited direction or supervision

    Possess strong knowledge and understanding of the organization's mission, vision, values, and culture

    Genuine passion for the healthcare industry

    Ability to deliver development content in a variety of mediums (conventional and unconventional)

    Well-established behavioral skills, especially in coaching, listening, providing feedback and developing others

    Strong work ethic and desire to work in a collaborative team environment
